On Penn State
I have a column in the NY Post today comparing the Penn State horror to Kitty Genovese being killed while her neighbors watched and also noting this is a total lapse of the individual heroism 9/11 produced. If you like it then please “like” it over on the NY Post page, tweet it, etc.

Me, tv
I’m going to be on NY1’s Inside City Hall tonight. It airs at 7pm and 10pm. I think I’m on in the second half of the show but not positive so dvr/watch the whole thing just in case. We’ll be discussing Occupy Wall Street and Election 2012.
I’m also scheduled to be on Geraldo At Large on Fox News Saturday at 10pm talking Herman Cain.

You can just hear someone saying “I’m a liberal but…”
I love these “not in my backyard” type stories, especially the ones which expose that liberals love their policies for thee but not for me: Affordable Housing Project Divides Woodstock
Not Mitt? For Rick.
My latest piece for WNYC’s A Free Country takes on the idea that Not Mitt Romney is anyone other than Rick Perry at this point.

I seriously hope I’m right
In my latest column for the New York Post, I defend Herman Cain.
UPDATE: Oh and also, I’m defending Cain but not supporting him for president.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I was on the Mark Levin show yesterday (around 30 minute mark at this link) and the Weekly Standard quoted myself and a bunch of other former Cain staffers defending him.

The smoking man
In my latest post for WNYC’s A Free Country I compare the Cain smoking ad to the Beatles…and not in a good way. I also reminisce about the summer after high school and how difficult it is to be a campaign staffer. I guess I had a lot to say.

In other news
I’ll be writing an occasional non-political column for the NY Post. My first one is on my pet topic of men being maligned for refusing to grow up.

Obama kept his word on Iraq. Which word is unclear.
Our naive president and his very intellectually flexible supporters, my latest for WNYC’s A Free Country.

Quote of the Day
“I was out 2 years ago protesting bailouts, crony capitalism, and corruption and was called a racist and a terrorist by some of the same government officials who are speaking glowingly about this crap. I picked up my own litter, didn’t steal other people’s stuff, and I never assaulted a Coastie or crapped on a squad car.”

Silly 1 percenter on display
The rich girl protester, that so many people are posting to their profiles, is a symbol of the misguided Occupy Wall Street movement (my latest for WNYC’s A Free Country).
And, extra link, woman in the 2% is mad at the 1%.

Prediction 2012
Whenever I go on a run of predictions where I’m right a lot, which has been the case recently though I admit I was wrong when I believed Pawlenty would go further in the race than absolutely nowhere, I usually go out on a limb and let myself make a wild and crazy prediction that may very well be incorrect. In my latest for WNYC’s A Free Country I predict who the Republican nominee for president will be and it’s not front-runner Mitt Romney.

Tonight!
I’ll be on NY1 tonight at 7 and 10pm discussing social media and the Occupy Wall Street protests.
UPDATE: Here is the video. Dorian and I talk a lot more after the break.

Fight this.
I wasn’t going to write about this because it seemed like the biggest crock of all time but the point Melissa Clouthier makes in her Nightwatch email (sign up on her blog) below is true. We can’t stand idly by while these ridiculous stories are spread about our candidates. I won’t.
The Washington Post front-paged one of the most despicably dishonest stories in their paper’s history and that’s saying something. I won’t link to it. Here’s the thumbnail: They attempt to paint Rick Perry as a racist with no proof whatsoever. The story? A property, not owned by the Perry family, but leased by them, had a rock on the property that said, “Niggerhead” (abominable). Rick Perry’s father saw it, painted over it, and that was the end of it. Rick Perry didn’t even SEE the rock. No matter. He’s racist. See how this works?
Other conservatives and Republicans who stand by idly (or worse, pile on) because the attack on their competitor helps them…well, for shame. The eventual nominee will be subject to this evil. Denounce it. LOUDLY.
Somehow Barack Obama going to a racist church for years is not nearly as bad.
