If you’re in Brooklyn this Saturday night, check out a reading by Matthew Lysiak. He’ll be reading from his new book “The Choice, Ronald Reagan versus Barack Obama and the Campaign of 2012.” followed by a discussion on Reagan’s influence in today’s election this Saturday at 7 pm at BookMark 8415 Third Avenue in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.

I would definitely came if I’ve seen this post on time!
Sorry, Karol, I was working late all last week.
How was it?
I couldn’t make it either, unfortunately.
I am sorry to report that this whole blog is dead. It struggled, but succumbed to a huge lack of interest all round. Saddest of all, it was during an election year.
Lt. – That was a dick thing to say. This blog hasn’t ’succumbed to a huge lack of interest’. If anything, the blog is slowing down because of Karol’s increasing success. Between her paid writing gigs (NY Post, WNYC, etc…), her increasing presence as a television pundit (she seems to be everywhere these days) and, oh yeah, her family, she has little time to devote to this blog.
I’ve seen Karol ferociously carve out a career for herself over the past 6 years and though I’m frequently at odds with her point of view, I can’t help but be enormously impressed with the tenacity with which she has maintained her focus.
So if she has to spend less time on unpaid writing on this blog vs. building a nest egg for her child, then we shouldn’t begrudge her.
Ha, thanks Jamie. Very sweet of you to write that.
Lt. Oilybird, I’m sympathetic to the view this blog is dead. I’ll try to update more often but as Jamie points out I get paid to write all over the place and it gets really hard to do it for free here.
