Hey, hey, hey, goodbye
Huck’s out. Our resident Huck-nut Larry is sending me hilarious, depressed emails about being let down. It’s a double dose of awesome.
I’m glad Huckabee isn’t running. I think his effect on the primary would only be as a spoiler, just like last time, and he could never win the general. Beyond that, I don’t like him as a representative of my party. Where others say “populist” I say “will say anything to be liked.”
Perplexing was his daughter and other supporters tweeting last night how “proud” they were of Huck for his announcement. Although, sure, I guess I’d be proud of my dad if he decided to keep making boatloads of money and not run a race he’d be sure to lose.

you’re talking about Huckabee, yet describing Romney.
Yes, I’m bummed…I’ll get over it eventually.
I guess from now on I’ll do what Karol does….support losers who clearly have no shot and if they don’t win, I won’t be as disappointed.
hate to break it to you, but Huck was our best chance to beat Obama…just as most polls show.
Larry, your support of Huck borders on fanatical. It’s fine to be a little disappointed that he’s not running but relax, man, very little changed in your life.
definitely not fanatical…calm yourself
I’m a bit disappointed…slightly depressed…but like I said, I’ll get over it.
I have a special WNYC piece coming out tomorrow just for you, Larry! It will brighten your mood, promise.
