The imaginary power of his words
The Obama administration asked the S&P to delay their downgrade until after Obama give his debt speech. They actually did wait but, of course, it changed nothing. My latest for WNYC’s “It’s a Free Country” is about this divorce from reality by the Obama administration where they imagine the president’s words to have magical properties.

Another NY clown
My piece today for WNYC’s It’s A Free Country blog notes that Trump is the latest in a long line of New Yorkers acting afool on the national stage. I also point out that the Obama birth certificate story is similar to the Bush AWOL story: both make the other side too crazy to see how ridiculous they are behaving.
