Like it or not, Donald Trump is the big winner today.

My latest piece for WNYC’s A Free Country is on this fact.

The imaginary power of his words

The Obama administration asked the S&P to delay their downgrade until after Obama give his debt speech. They actually did wait but, of course, it changed nothing. My latest at WNYC is on Obama’s speech yesterday. I thought it was a lot of empty words and wondering when his supporters will realize that.

My piece today for WNYC’s It’s A Free Country blog notes that Trump is the latest in a long line of New Yorkers acting afool on the national stage. I also point out that the Obama birth certificate story is similar to the Bush AWOL story: both make the other side too crazy to see how ridiculous they are behaving.

Anybody But Huck

What serious presidential candidate destroys their gubernatorial records when leaving office? Only one unserious person.

Hat-tip James.

“Claim”, “receive” and “get”

My latest post for WNYC is on the language used to describe how high-income people earn their money. Did I say earn? How novel.
