Alarming News

February 9, 2011

I’m going to CPAC! I’ll be posting about it here and on WNYC’s It’s a Free Country blog. Oh and also on Twitter so follow me if you don’t already.

Someone asked in the below comment section why I haven’t written on the Reaganversary and on Egypt.

About Reagan I’m truly sorry that I missed out on writing about his 100th birthday. Most of my long-time readers know how much the man meant to me and my family. I’ve had a busy few weeks which included the celebration of our daughter’s first birthday. Yes, that’s cake in her hair (this pic was taken by the amazing, phenomenal photographer Matthew Adam, hire him for your events, he has my highest recommendation):

Fwd: 8

About Egypt, no one said it better than the jokey Twitterer @dcjourno: “Bookers: DM me if you need a guest to talk Egypt. I’ve been following this stuff pretty closely for almost a week”

Few really know anything and despite this everyone wants to give their fact-free opinion. My hope is that whomever ultimately takes power is not hostile to America and Israel but if they are, we’ll deal with it then. Or, they will anyway, hopefully without our funding. I still support democracy everywhere, even in places where we might not like the result. Democracy brings with it accountability and it’s time the people of the Middle East were responsible for the governments they have.

See ya’ll soon, peoples! If you’re going to CPAC, let me know!
