Report: US weighs military option in Pakistan
The article is half-ridiculous and basically says that if the Pakistani Taliban manages to pull off a successful attack in the US (a thwarted attack doesn’t count, apparently) and if that attack can be traced to them then the US will consider a unilateral attack. The report does go on to say:
The U.S. has put Pakistan “on a clock” to launch a new intelligence and counterterrorist offensive against the group, which the White House alleges was behind the Times Square bombing attempt, according to the official.
Ohhh, they’re on the clock now. That’ll put the fear into them.
