Define “enough”, Mr. President

Obama: “I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money”

Perhaps calling Obama a socialist was misleading. Telling people when they have enough money isn’t a symptom of Socialism but of Communism.

Does he has enough? As payments and income from a book he didn’t write? Did his wife had enough when she she was employed by a Chicago hospital on a 300K position they have eliminated when Obamas moved to Washington?

“As payments and income from a book he didn’t write?”

What’s next, comrade? Demanding to see his birth certificate? Or maybe a screed about the Trilateral Commission and the Illuminati?

Oh COME ON, Doc, who believes any politico writes their own book?

Teh Won’s definition of “enough” – half of what he makes, unless one donates to him. After all, he’s well on the way to being CEO of every economic enterprise in the US (GM/Chrysler/Fannie/Freddie/AIG are just the start).

Well, comrade Tatyana, that is the most ridiculous piece of evidence you could have offered. The “proof” consists, essentially, of the fact that early drafts of the book were not well-written.

Wow. That’s a huge friggin’ surprise.

Take it from someone who has written stuff: revision exists as a way of improving writing. Subsequent drafts are generally better than earlier ones. That’s the whole point. (And, might I add, a tip you’d do well to apply to your own writing.)

So: an anti-Obama article in which the author claims that the first drafts of a book were not as well-written as the final draft. You’re going to have to do better than that. It may well be that he didn’t write the book, but what you’ve offered so far doesn’t even come close to proving that.

Try again.

I think it’s love. A wicked kind of love: an abused wife adoring and excusing a husband who’s beating her. The more he kicks her ribs, the louder she screams: he is the kindness personified! you all are just jealous! he loves me! he does! you don’t prove nothing! try again!

What’s the over-under on how many more posts before this inane thread drags out a comparison to Hitler or Nazis?
