Variety is the spice

I know I’m very late to the party but I recently read Malcolm Gladwell’s “Blink” and “Tipping Point”, and promptly became wholly obsessed with his ideas. If you haven’t read those books, do, they changed the way I think about so many things. Also, check out this video (hat-tip JC) where Gladwell explains the key to happiness using spaghetti sauce.

I’ve never read his books because, as one reviewer in 2000 said, isn’t a “tipping point” what we used to call a “trend”? It seemed Gladwell’s idea was just an old one tied up with a shiny, new ribbon. But again, I haven’t read it.
