….how was your weekend?

Update: Mine looked sort of like this. The pool on property? Closed. The tennis courts? Lacking a net. But hanging out with 10 of my friends (and 3 dogs named Puba, Mottz and Brooklyn) in the sunshine, grilling burgers and kebabs, breaking out the Belvedere at night, playing Klabbar (a Russian card game) all day long, and generally just chilling out on a long weekend–it’s perfection all on its own.

Nobody else has offered a thought, it seems, so permit me. Mine was fabulous. My friends’ big barbecue was on Sunday, so that we could go late and not worry about being too tired to make it to work today. Driving from my place in Westchester down to Queens, I took the Jackie Robinson for the first time. Scaaaaaaaary! It reminds me of the Taconic Parkway. I guess I’m too used to I-684’s wide, straight lanes.
Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend too.

I visited Wal-Mart for the first time.
I was underwhelmed.

It had its moments.

Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever had a better one. Between midnight and daytime rides around Manhattan on my buddy Ricky’s 50′ antique Chris Craft yacht, boiling lobsters, sailing, hosting a bar-b-que for 40 close friends and driving around a little blue beetle convertible, it just couldn’t be beat. Glad you had a nice weekend too, babe.
