Census
A year ago, I made fun of the idea that NY was going to try to count the homeless population. Well, the program is actually going to happen and they’re looking for volunteers. I still think it’s kind of silly, but it will be interesting to see the results.

Posted by: ken at January 25, 2006 at 5:42 pmGood. I need to know how many dirty needles to hand out.
Posted by: ll at January 25, 2006 at 5:56 pmI also need to know where they are congregating so I can add to my hood ornament collection.
Posted by: ll at January 25, 2006 at 6:04 pmDon’t they do this every year or two? I thought I saw footage of the volunteers on NY1 when I first moved to the city.

Plus easier than doing a cynical yuppie deuche bag census.
Actually, no dude, it’s much harder seeing as homeless people move around a lot. Harder to count, see? Click my first link and check my headline.
Posted by: Karol at January 26, 2006 at 3:55 amhow do you count people that may be a different person tommrow? heh heh.
Posted by: cube at January 26, 2006 at 9:45 amWow.
The “hood ornament” crack was particularly sickening.
Do americans stop “erring on the side of life” when the life becomes homeless? Just wondering.
