Hecklers a sign of a doomed Bush presidency?

Sure, because there were no hecklers at his events right before he crushed John Kerry in the 2004 election.

Crushed? You call that crushed? Bill Clinton/Bob Dole.. That was crusing. 2004 was hardly a crushing.

That’s just silly (and I’m talking about the meat and potatoes here and not the “Bush crushed Kerry” comment since the 04 election was not, by any means a landslide ala Reagan-whoever,Bush-Dukakis or Clinton-Dole). There are a lot of reasons to think Bush is in bad shape (the ubiquitous Larry Sabato’s recent memo sums it up fairly well) but hecklers ?

The dude’s slowly slipping into crapsville. NICE! ;)
I love you regardless. And yes…let’s PLEASE have drinks soon, so you can once again convince me that I’m a true blue Republican at heart. :-D
Have a great day sweets!

Name a president who has not been heckled? You are right, there are other indicators that reflect the direction of an administration.

Hear, hear. Even William Henry Harrison who died a month after taking office was heckled (namely over charges that Dan Webster had to take out numerous references to Roman history in the already too long inagural that killed Harrison).

Maybe I just missed it, but where in that Froomkin piece was there anything about Heckling? I read lots about a crappy “victory strategy” that nobody likes as a sign of a doomed presidency.
