Mets fan Dawn: Oh yeah, woooo look at me all watching the Yankees, rooting them on.
Me: Well, I thought you’d be rooting on the Red Sox then.
MFD: What do I look like, a moron?!? Who roots for the Red Sox?!

Stereotyping. It would be similar if I suggested that all Yankee fans were self-indulgent, illiterate twerps whose self esteem was entirely defined by the success or failure of their team.
I would never suggest such a thing, though.
Besides, the Wild Card worked out pretty well for Boston last year.
