I saw that yesterday. I really like this chick – where again did she say she was going?
Anyone who mercilessly skewers the politically correct is dear to my heart. And if it’s a chick – she’s dear to about two feet lower!
It’s good to see that not all Brits are steaming, screaming, socialist loons!
Sorry to disappoint you, but Burchill has a history of being a “screaming, steaming socialist loon”. She adopts what she wants to adopt. She is an opportunist. When right wing politics is back in the mainstream in the UK, we can rely on Julie to stuff political correctness down our necks, in much the same way as she did in the 80s and 90s. I couldn’t even be a**ed reading the worthless bitch’s column, but there is a good piece that K has posted on the 30th. What paper is that from again ?
Bobby, no one is more shocked than me about the fact that the Guardian is printing these kinds of things. (You can see my post and comment to that effect on this rightwing website). Maybe they’re wising up? Or just selling papers?
Not sure what they are up to – balance perhaps ? Or maybe they are just ramming home the point that Julie Burchill doesn’t half talk a load of p*sh. (well, okay, she does hit the mark sometimes).
Check out her archive and see how many bitter references to her ex husband Tony Parsons you can find (he who wrote the Daily Mirror piece Sept 11th 2002).
Thank you so much for your “Who killed my Dad?”
programme. I recently lost my Mum to this awful condition and we are still fighting for compensation for my Dad, who had been offered compensation and then heard that the company who, is now american based has gone into liquidation.
Both my parents had worked at an asbestos company in 1936, Roberts , based in Armley,Leeds, and later was bought out by Turner and Newall
Our case is ongoing with John Pickering, solicitors. The programme was very well presented from your personal view and although quite upsetting at times I was glad that I had watched it. Good Luck,
Sue Horsfield .
