…I find all these articles in Britain about Bush’s previously unknown ability to form sentences. Stephen Pollard has more about this in the Telegraph. A terrific piece, my favorite part is the too true end:
What really offends about George Bush is that what you see is what you get, and what you see is a genuine American who makes no effort to be anything else. We can put up with Americans who seem ashamed to be American. Woe betide them, however, if they are proud of it. They will have to put up with our weapon of choice: the condescending sneer.

Bush and the Queen are chatting at the State banquet.
GWB : Y’know, I was thinking the other day about how good it would be to have a Kingdom to rule.
HMQ : Ah, but Mr Bush, that is impossible as you are not a king.
GWB : Mmmm, that’s a shame – how about a Principality then, I like the sound of that. A Principality, yeah !
HMQ : Sadly Mr Bush, you are not a Prince. Somehow, I think ruling a country suits you just fine !
Gimme a break. Little imagined, sarcastic dialogues are dumb. As if Bush really cares much for the Queen. Or any American besides the tabloid-hungry-mongers. Bush treats the Queen like what she is – a lady. She is not the head of state, and matters of politics are most likely avoided in any conversation between the two.
